DOT, 4-year-old mommy and her couple of monthly daughter Lili ❤️

They were raised on a local farm for the production of lamb meat. Because Pika had chronic mastitis-udder infection, she was no longer useful for further reproduction, so her death was already planned. But luck smiled upon her and her baby. I managed to find them a home on one of the Slovenian peaceful farms, where rescued farm animals are not exploited and live freely until their natural death. But first we had to collect enough money to build them their new home, which we succeeded with the help of quite a few good people, who donated their money for the cause. Their home was starting to get built, and the only thing missing was for them to occupy it. When the time came to get them into the truck for transportation, they didnt want to go. They wanted to stay with their herd, they resisted us, especially Pika. It was really hard for me to separate them from their friends, but I knew that we were doing this for them, so that they would have a new life together. If we would have left them there, Lili would already be dead, and Pika would end up on a plate in a few months. But they didnt. We succesfully transported them to Nikina prijazna vas, where they were introduced to their new companions right away, two goats named Tinka and Srečo(Lucky). At the beginning they needed some time to get to know each other and establish a hierarchy, but now they are the best friends in the world.Their life before was better than the lives of most farm animals. They mostly spent their time outside with their herd. They were taken care of by one man, who fed them and gave them shelter. But in the end, they would still be killed-betrayed by the same man, who was looking after them, killed just like all the lambs and their mothers were before them. No mater, whether the farm is industrial or local, all animals have to give their life for us in the end. Is it really worth it? “There is no right way to do the wrong thing.”
Ker je Pika obolevala za kroničnim mastitisom-vnetjem vimena, za nadaljnji razplod in vzrejo jagenjčkov ni bila več uporabna, tako da je bila njena smrt že načrtovana.
But they got lucky. I managed to find a home on one of the peaceful farms in Slovenia, where they are taking care of their natural deaths for the rescued livestock.

First, however, it was necessary to raise money to build their new placeholders and houses. That’s what we did with the help of good people, and Domek started to build. The relocation in their for-always home was the only thing that was missing.
We also had to bridge a few obstacles to transport, from the search for a suitable large cage, a means of transport, to the boarding of the van.
They didn’t want to go, they called their flock, they resisted. Especially the dot. It was hard for me, but I knew we were doing it for their own good. If I hadn’t, Lily would be dead already, and the dot would end up in a few months.
This is how we successfully carried them to Nikine’s friendly village, where we immediately met them with their new roommate, shrimp Tinko and Kozličkom Srečko. At the beginning they needed some time to meet and set up a hierarchy, but today they are already best friends.

Their lives were more beautiful than most of the other livestock. They stayed mostly outside, on a pasture, with their flock. One man cared for them, fed them and offered shelter. In the end, they would have been betrayed-killed, just like all the lamb and their mothers before them.
Regardless of whether the rearing is industrial or domestic, all animals must end up for us to give their lives.
